Privacy policy

HealthWorld is a content website. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no payments on this site, and we do not ask for any personal information.

Analytics

We measure visits and which retailer links are clicked so we know what is useful. This is done without cookies: your IP address is never stored, and visits are counted with an anonymous identifier that changes every day. We record the page, the general source of the visit (for example Instagram or Google), country, device type, your internet provider's name (not your address), the app the page was opened in, your browser's time zone, how long a page stayed open and how far it was scrolled, and which product link was clicked. If you write to us in the feedback box, we keep your message together with the page, country and language — no name, email or IP address.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver and protect the site.

Affiliate links

When you click a link to a retailer such as eBay, you leave HealthWorld. That site may use cookies to attribute your purchase to us. Their own privacy policies apply from that point on.

Instagram messages

When you comment on our Instagram posts or Reels, reply to one of our Stories or send us a message, an automated assistant replies by direct message with a link to the products on our site. Instagram passes us your account ID, username and the text of that comment or message. We use them only to send that reply. We don't store the text, except for comments that need a person to answer (a question, for example): those we keep for up to 30 days. We keep your account ID and the time of the reply for up to 30 days, only so you don't get the same message twice. To have this deleted right away, send us the message "delete my data" on Instagram.
