A cup of plain Greek yogurt quietly has as much protein as a scoop of powder. Build the bowl the right way — tart yogurt, sweet fruit, something crunchy, a little fat — and the protein and fat make it the kind of breakfast that lasts until lunch.

Ingredients

1 bowl

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (250 g)
  • ½ cup blueberries (75 g)
  • ¼ cup granola (30 g)
  • a small handful of walnuts (10 g)
  • 1½ tsp honey (10 g)

How to make it

  1. 1

Spoon the yogurt into a bowl and swirl in the honey.

  2. 2

Add the blueberries, then the granola and walnuts right before eating so they stay crunchy.

Kitchen notes

  • Plain yogurt + your own honey usually means about half the sugar of a flavored cup.
  • The big 32-oz tub costs far less per serving than single cups.
  • Packing it for work? Keep the granola in a separate little container.
