How we pick, and what we don't do

HealthWorld is a one-person, registered small business in Israel. We read labels and compare them; we don't run a lab, we don't take money from brands, and we don't invent reviews. Here is exactly what goes into a pick.

What we do

Start from real demand. A product gets in when it has been a best-seller for years on the big marketplaces — not a launch-week fad. On eBay we also look at how many a listing has actually sold.
Read the label, copy the numbers. Protein per scoop, creatine per serving, elemental magnesium, sodium per stick — every number on a product page is the one printed on the Supplement Facts panel. When a formula changes, we update the page.
Show certifications only when they are on the label — NSF Certified for Sport, Informed Sport, USP Verified, USDA Organic. If we are not sure, we leave the badge off.
Filter the sellers. Our live eBay lists show new, sealed items from sellers with at least 98% positive feedback and 500 ratings, with real sales on the listing, refreshed every few hours and marked with the time we checked. Everything you buy on eBay is covered by its Money Back Guarantee.
Say where the data comes from. Nutrition in recipes is worked out from USDA FoodData Central; product photos are listing photos or Open Food Facts; prices and seller numbers come from the eBay Browse API. Sources are listed on each page.

What we don't do

No lab testing by HealthWorld. For tested products we point to the certifier's own registry.
No star ratings, review counts, testimonials or “X sold” numbers of our own. The only counts you see are eBay's.
No paid placements. Brands cannot buy a spot on a list.
No medical advice. Everything is structure/function language from the label; talk to your doctor about your own situation.
No price tracking or price history. eBay prices are shown only when checked within the last few hours, Amazon prices never.

How we earn

When you buy through a link marked eBay or Amazon we may earn a commission from the retailer. It never changes the price you pay and never changes a ranking. Full details on the disclosure page.

Updates and corrections

Every guide shows the date of its last content update. If a label changes or we got a number wrong, write to us through the feedback box on any page — corrections are made on the page itself and the date moves.
